UK: Storm Amy Brings Heavy Rain and Winds, Causing Devastating Damage

Storm Amy, remnants of Hurricane Humberto, swept across parts of the UK and Ireland over the weekend, bringing heavy rain and winds of nearly 100 mph that left tens of thousands without power, and causing flight cancellations and delays. Amy brought devastating damage, destroying several buildings and crushing cars with falling trees.

UK: Arctic Blast Brings Snow To Much Of Country, Prompting Warnings For Snow And Ice

On November 19, many parts of the UK was blanketed by the first snowfall of the season as the Arctic blast swept across the country. Yellow weather warnings for ice were issued for London and South East England, South West England, the West Midlands, Wales, the East of England, the East Midlands, Northern Ireland, and large parts of Scotland, with the warnings remaining in effect until Wednesday morning.
